CAMBRIDGE, UNITED KINGDOM - TWI Validation Center in Port Talbot, on the site of the Corus Steel works, has carried out many research projects since its opening in February 2006. Regular welding inspection courses and NDT courses have been successfully delivered for more than three years.

Following growing customer demand for TWI's NDT training, several more classrooms have been built and a full-time NDT lecturer has been recruited, dedicated to delivering TWI's training services in South Wales.

Magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic testing of welds and radiographic interpretation courses are all scheduled to start in the next few weeks.

A full NDT program will be running by the end of the year, with radiographic testing available at TWI North in Middlesbrough. Advanced NDT training courses such as manual and encoded phased array UT, time-of-flight diffraction and phased array data interpretation will also be available to meet market needs.

Single client training or tailor-made courses are also offered from TWI's Port Talbot premises.
