Tomos Opens Industrial CT Scanning Center

BELLINGHAM, WA-Tomos Technologies Inc., provider of X-ray computed tomography (CT) scanning services, has opened a new industrial CT scanning center in Bellingham, WA, offering high-resolution scanning and analysis to a range of industries. Tomos uses the Edge CT scanner from Imtec Inc. to perform both nondestructive testing (NDT) and advanced metrology services.
The Edge CT scanning system uses a 225-micro-focus X-ray source, with a resolution of 127 microns. This is supported by the FlashCT software system.
Tomos’ metrology applications include nondestructive internal measurements, reverse engineering, first article inspection and 3-D volume analysis. NDT applications include failure analysis, forensic analysis, porosity testing and crack detection.
