FAIRPORT, NY-Qioptiq Group has completed the necessary legal and administrative processes for the merger with Linos AG (Goettingen, Germany); the two companies will now act as one organization.
The Qioptiq Group designs and manufactures optical components and modules for military and commercial applications. Linos is a manufacturer of optical systems.
Benoit Bazire, Qioptiq CEO, comments, “With the two companies’ leading technology, expertise and excellent reputations, Qioptiq and Linos together make a perfect match to better serve their customers.”
The new group will be organized into three divisions: Optical Systems, Defense & Aerospace, and Precision Optics. Total pro forma revenue in 2006 was $290 million.
“We can now offer our varied customer base a comprehensive portfolio of products and services in addition to a strong geographical presence,” Bazire says.
