Tom Kinnare is director of engineering at East Coast Metrology (ECM), a division of In-Place Machining Company, where he has spent 20 years bestowing the blessings of dimensional metrology on clients across a wide range of industries. Tom draws on his experience of going places and measuring things to realize special projects, quote new jobs, and train the next generation of dimensional metrologists. Tom co-authored the book 3D Scanning for Advanced Manufacturing, Design, and Construction, which provides an overview of scanning and its uses. He is chair of the certification subcommittee for the Coordinate Metrology Society.
