FARMINGTON, CT-Trumpf Inc. has received a Connecticut Quality Improvement Award gold level Innovation Prize at the 16th annual Conference on Quality and Innovation. The award recognizes the development and results of the company's Sprint Axis laser technology.
The Sprint Axis is a small and light kinematic module with axis-travel limited to 4 inches integrated into a standard machine. Mounted to the existing X and Y axes, Sprint Axis can be positioned anywhere within the overall working range of 5 by 10 square feet.
"Trumpf is among the select companies who represent the creativity, ingenuity and drive that will lead Connecticut‘s economic growth," says Sheila Carmine, executive director of The CQIA Partnership. Trumpf is one of only 20 gold level innovation prizewinners.
The Connecticut Quality Improvement Award recognizes Connecticut-based manufacturing and service companies that excel in quality improvements for business success and growth. The not-for-profit CQIA Partnership is a growing group concerned with improving the state's economic vitality.
