Carl Zeiss IMT Corp. (Minneapolis) is building a new North American headquarters and an advanced coordinate measuring machine manufacturing facility. Scheduled to open in November 2001, the 90,000-square-foot Minneapolis campus will allow the company to grow and offer customers expanded consulting, specialized training and systems support services. With the additional space and amenities, Carl Zeiss anticipates a 30% increase in manufacturing, an increase in workflow efficiency and the elimination of temporary warehousing of materials. The new headquarters will house corporate offices, design engineering departments, a larger manufacturing area, and a customer and technician training area.
