MTA Wins Governor's Award
The Walter P. Manufacturing Technology Academy (MTA, Waterford, MI) has been selected as winner of the 2001 Governor's Excellence in Practice Award given by the state of Michigan. MTA was selected because the program "exemplifies the highest standards in career preparation," said Barbara Bolin, director of the Michigan department of career development. The program provides preparation in manufacturing by integrating academics with hands-on experience.
