Michael Cyros, head of Allied Vision Technologies Inc., has been elected the 2008 president of the Automated Imaging Association (AIA), a global machine vision industry trade group, representing more than 290 member companies from 26 countries.
Cyros is serving his third term as a member of the board of AIA. Cyros has worked in the vision and imaging industry since 1987 and joined Allied Vision Technologies in the fall of 2005 to create Allied Vision Technologies Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the company with headquarters in Newburyport, MA.
“I am very honored by the confidence the AIA board members showed in appointing me as their president,” says Cyros. “I look forward to working with the board at further promoting the machine vision industry and serving the membership. I will do my best to increase the passion about our industry, while at the same time promoting the exploration and discovery of new opportunities in our changing market.”
