DEDHAM, MA - ARC Advisory Group’s thirteenth annual Orlando Forum will be held February 2 to 5, 2009, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, FL. The theme is Winning Strategies and Best Practices for Sustainable Manufacturing.
Dr. Alan Hecht, director of sustainable development at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s office of research and development, will provide the keynote address at the ARC Orlando Forum. Other confirmed speakers include Angel Mendez, senior vice president, global supply chain management at Cisco Systems, who will speak on sustainability and the supply chain; Werner Setzwein, vice president of corporate engineering at BASF, who will speak on the role of process automation in energy efficiency; and B.R. Mehta, senior vice president at Reliance Industries Ltd., who will discuss automation and sustainability initiatives at the world-scale Reliance Jamnagar refinery and petrochemicals manufacturing complex in India.
In addition to the general sessions, dedicated session tracks will focus on the specific issues surrounding sustainability in the process, regulated and discrete manufacturing industries. Special emphasis will be placed on strategies for more effective energy management, waste minimization and resource utilization.
