WATERBURY, CT, and HOLLIS, NH, October 31-Haydon, manufacturer of motor miniaturization, announces a merger with Kerk, manufacturer of non-ball lead screw, linear rails and actuator systems. Together, the two companies will become HaydonKerk Motion Solutions; retaining both Kerk and Haydon product lines and jointly offering a range of linear motion products.
For nearly 50 years, Haydon has been building electric motors and stepper motor-based linear actuators. Following the merger, the Waterbury facility will continue production of HaydonKerk’s line of Haydon products, which includes canstack and hybrid stepper-motor actuators, rotary steppers and LRS motorized rails.
Since 1976, Kerk’s internationally patented, anti-backlash designs and materials have provided high accuracy, unsurpassed repeatability and long life in a full range of motion control applications. HaydonKerk’s line of Kerk leadscrews, linear rails and non-motorized actuators will continue to be manufactured at the Hollis, NH, facility.
