ROCHESTER HILLS, MI - Hommel Etamic America Corp., Jenoptik’s Industrial Metrology Division, announced the opening of a new sales and service center in Saltillo, Mexico.

The office will provide sales support, demonstration facilities, and spare parts for customers in Mexico. The company also added sales and service personnel to serve the Mexico market.

Over the past 5 years business in Mexico has increased significantly for Hommel Etamic America Corp, a manufacturer of high-precision gaging equipment for automotive, medical and aerospace applications.

The new office will help us strengthen and grow our customer relationships.”

Hommel Etamic will conduct marketing road shows in Mexico during the 2nd half of 2009 to present to customers a mix of mobile and stationary roughness testers, roundness and cylindricity testing machines, optical shaft measuring instruments and jump-on grinder gages along with demonstrations of dimensional pneumatic and optical measuring capabilities.

Hommel Etamic manufacturers and provides high-precision, tactile and non-tactile production metrology for checking roughness, contour, form, and determining dimensions during (in-process) and after the production process (post-process) or in the measuring room.
