Detroit, MI -- European calibration services companyTrescal is continuing its international expansion with the acquisition ofDynamic Technology Inc.(DTI), a principal service provider in the United States. The transaction will allow Trescal to enter the U.S. market and become a larger global provider of metrology services.

Founded in 1987, DTI is based in Detroit, MI. DTI employs 180 staff spread across laboratories in Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas and Houston. DTI has consistent annual growth rates of more than 20% since its formation in 1987 and it works with more than 4,500 customers in the automotive, aeronautics and space, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and telecoms industries.

With its new shareholders, 3i and TCR Capital, Trescal began in September 2010 to step up its international expansion, particularly outside Europe.
