ROCKFORD, IL– Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs (NBT), the charitable foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), elected a new slate of officers at its recent meeting.
Traci Tapani, co-president, Wyoming Machine, Inc. of Stacy, MN, was elected chairwoman; Bryan Hawkins, president/CEO, Hawkeye Industries, Inc. of Tupelo, MS, was elected vice chairman; and Marcia Arndt, dean-manufacturing technology of Moraine Park Technical College, West Bend, WI, will serve as secretary/treasurer. Newly elected officers will serve one-year terms.
Grants from NBT provide seed funding for community and technical college organizers offering summer manufacturing camps designed to inspire junior high and high school students to consider careers in manufacturing, and provide scholarships to help community/technical college and trade school students studying to prepare for careers in manufacturing.
