FLAMATT, SWITZERLAND-The board of directors of Comet Holding AG has appointed Dr. Roland Zarske CEO of the Comet Group. A German citizen, Zarske took up his new post March 1, replacing interim CEO Dr. Bernhard Hammer, who has returned full-time to his function as chairman of the company’s board of directors. In his previous position, Zarske was also a member of the extended management board with responsibility for innovation and technology. Zarske’s education began with an apprenticeship before he completed two courses (at a technical college and technical university) to qualify as a certified engineer followed by a doctorate in engineering. With extensive experience in business development, reorganization and consolidation, he has been responsible for significant marketing success in the area of product innovation.
