Toronto, Canada --Tornado Spectral Systems (TSS) is pleased to announce that OCTANE-860 has been recognized by the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) as a Prism Award Winner for 2014.

This is a fully packaged, turn-key solution that is optimized for OCT applications and centered at a wavelength of 860 nm, using photolithography and wafer based fabrication techniques adapted for the visible and near-IR wavelength range. OCTANE matches the typical performance specifications of ophthalmic OCT spectrometers with the added benefit of an ultra-robust, small and low-cost package.
