The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) announced that nominations are being accepted for individuals willing to be considered for our all-volunteer Board of Directors. Members of the Board will be asked to serve a 3-year term.
Founded in 1984, the CMS is a large membership of users, service providers, and OEM manufacturers of close-tolerance, industrial coordinate measurement technology. These metrology systems include inspection software, traditional CMMs, theodolites, GPS, laser projection systems, laser trackers, laser radar, photogrammetry/videogrammetry systems, scanning devices, and articulating arms.
The CMS is devoted to expanding and promoting the usage of mobile metrology systems. The membership assembles each year at the Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC) to learn about the latest in-use advancements and new product developments in measurement software or systems that produce, utilize, and analyze three-dimensional coordinate data.
Qualifications for the Board of Directors position are as follows:
• Individuals should have passion and experience that aligns with the practical understanding of metrology
• Management experience
• Recognized reputation for integrity and competence
• Demonstrated leadership attributes
• Budget procurement and management knowledge
• Skill in building staffs and developing people
