Manufacturing is quickly evolving—as seen in smart factories, lean thinking, and increasing automation—and requires moving quality assurance alongside production.

With a year-to-date total of $1.352 billion, 2016 is down 8.3 percent when compared with 2015.

The total was up 5.8 percent from May’s $165.68 million and down 7.1 percent when compared to June 2015.

Current market forecasts indicate 2016 orders will finish lower than 2015.
