The Fusion FaroArm is for manufacturers that want the in-process measurement, reverse-engineering capabilities and ergonomics of the company’s flagship arm in a lightweight, portable and more affordable solution. Operators guide the arm’s touch-probe along the surface of the object being measured, while a laptop computer simultaneously illustrates the 3-D measurements on-screen and records all of the data. It creates a 3-D representation of a part or machine component, enabling it to perform inspections, tool certification, CAD-to-part analysis or reverse engineering.
