Nashua, NH – The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) has named Mr. Alfred Au its new U.S. Operations Manager. Mr. Au joins NSAI from the Standards Council of Canada where he was their Senior Program Officer on conformity assessment managing such accreditation programs such as Medical Device (CMDCAS, ISO 13485), Quality Management System (ISO 9001 and TL 9000), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001, Z1000 and Z10). He brings to NSAI nearly two decades of experience in quality, safety and environmental certification and accreditation as well as a background in engineering and project management.

Mr. Au will become a key player helping these plans become a reality. Mr. Au is a perfect complement to our dedicated team at NSAI.”

Mr. Au has a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, and a post-graduate degree in Occupational Safety and Health from the University of Greenwich. He is well known in the Quality Management and Occupational Health and Safety fields and has extensive knowledge of key standards for the medical device field including ISO 13485, CMDCAS and CE Markings.
