TROY, MI-Test Equipment Distributors (TED), a provider of nondestructive testing equipment and services to the automotive, aerospace and other industries, has named Mike Hamel president. Prior to his promotion, Hamel was national sales manager for TED. He joined the company in 1994 as an applications engineer and served in a number of roles until being named national sales manager in 2004. A member of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), Hamel has more than 23 years experience in the application of nondestructive testing technology in both the commercial and military sectors. He currently holds the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. Test Equipment Distributors LLC and its affiliated companies, X-Ray Industries and X-R-I Testing, have served the nondestructive testing and inspection needs of a wide range of industries since 1941.
