GREENWICH, CT-The Rockwood Service Corp. has consolidated its Canspec, Longview and Bacon Donaldson operations under the brand, Acuren. Acuren will continue as a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwood Service Corp.

Peter O. Scannell, Rockwood's president, says the change is in response to the increasingly sophisticated and geographically wide ranging needs of clients for its materials testing and inspection services.

"We believe the best way for us to expand our capabilities is to consolidate Canspec, Longview Inspection and Bacon Donaldson under a single organization," says Ken Stankievech, Acuren's president. Acuren's goal, he says, is to be the global leader in materials engineering and testing.
