NEWTOWN, CT-TUV Rheinland North America Holding Inc., supplier of testing, assessment and certification services, has acquired Non-Destructive Testing Services (NDT), a full-service material inspection company based in Grand Rapids, MI.

“With the addition of Non-Destructive Testing Services, we can extend our capabilities to address the growing demand for material testing services among our customers,” says Stephan Schmitt, president and chief executive officer of TUV Rheinland North America Holding Inc.

NDT uses a variety of commercial testing equipment to maximize the types and sizes of materials that can be tested. It offers a range of nondestructive testing methods, quality control and assurance functions, and physical testing for the aircraft, automotive, railroad, bridge/building, casting and forging, chemical, civil, Department of Transportation, electronics, light/heavy manufacturing, medical and prosthetics, petrochemical, and utility industries.
