FARMINGTON HILLS, MI-Kistler, a worldwide supplier of precision sensors, systems and instrumentation for engine, chassis and vehicle development, as well as vehicle component manufacturing systems, announced that Phase 1 construction of its new North American Technical Center is nearing completion, with the project remaining on track for an industry-wide September 2011 opening.
With an official groundbreaking in November 2010 and construction beginning in March, completion of the 20,000-square foot technical center will offer Detroit-area customers the benefits of fully dedicated on-site technical product sales, service and applications engineering expertise, as well as A2LA accredited calibration services, for their automotive testing, crash test, vehicle dynamics and test laboratory requirements. In addition to Kistler sensors and instrumentation, the new facility will support the KT North America portfolio of on-board, off-board and in-dummy data acquisition systems and software for crash test; and the company’s full range of Corrsys-Datron vehicle dynamics testing technologies.
