STUTTGART, GERMANY-Vision 2007, the International Trade Fair for Machine Vision, will celebrate its 20th anniversary November 6 to 8, 2007, at the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Center, located next to Stuttgart Airport and the A8 motorway, which connects the German cities of Munich and Frankfurt.
The 20th anniversary of Vision is expected to attract about 230 exhibitors, with approximately two thirds coming from Germany and one third from other countries. In addition to a large number of European countries, Israel, Japan, Canada, Pakistan and the United States will be represented. Two exhibition halls with a total gross exhibition area of 15,000 square meters have been reserved.
About three fifths of exhibitors are component manufacturers while the rest specialize in complete solutions with machine vision systems. The range of products will include cameras, frame grabbers, optical and illumination solutions, processors, software tools, machine vision and identification systems, and services. Innovations will include cameras with high-quality color picture recognition, which have attained new standards both in terms of speed and resolution, and are making inroads into an increasing number of industrial and nonindustrial applications. Intelligent cameras have also experienced an enormous upswing in the last few years, because of their ability to operate without an external PC, processing and evaluating data within their own housing.
The exhibition program of Vision 2007 is primarily aimed at the electronics/electrical engineering industry, the automotive industry, the automotive component supply industry and the metalworking industry. However, the plastics processing industry; the aerospace industry; test, measuring and control engineering; information and communication technology; and many non-industrial sectors of the economy also use the components and systems presented at Vision 2007. The event is expected to attract 5,500 visitors, with 40% expected to come from outside Germany.
