BARRINGTON, NJ-Edmund Optics, a producer of optics, imaging and photonics technology, has expanded its global sales presence by opening an office in Rome. The office services southern Europe and the Mediterranean.

Allan Kreutzer, vice president of global sales, says, “If you want to sell product, you need to physically be there as a full-service provider, fluent in the local language.”

Beate Sauter has been hired as the first regional sales manager for the southern Europe and Mediterranean territories.

“We are excited to have Beate join our team of professionals,” says Kreutzer. “As the new sales manager in this area, Beate brings a rich experience of more than 16 years in sales and marketing management, both in the optics and photonics industries. Her fluency in several languages will be an asset in continuing to provide excellent customer service.”
