CALEDONIA, MI –– TÜV Rheinland Industrial Solutions Inc. (TRIS) has named Denny A. Stapp chief operating officer. In his new role, Stapp will be responsible for all operational aspects of TRIS.
Stapp has a wealth of engineering and testing experience. Most recently, he served as vice president for TRIS where, in addition to operations management, his duties included working as a senior member of the acquisition team to integrate Woodstock, AL-based Unified Testing & Engineering Services, Inc. (UTS) into TÜV Rheinland. Before the acquisition, Stapp served as vice president of UTS, where he worked for 16 years.
Prior to UTS, Stapp worked as manager, environmental engineering support services, at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He provided consultation and engineering testing and recommendations for compliance with the federal and state hazardous materials and waste regulations. He also supervised laboratory services providing analytical results for field sampling and testing. He served as environmental consult for the University of Alabama to Mercedes Benz during its move to Alabama.

Stapp also served as regional manager for PSI, an engineering testing and consulting firm, where he managed all environmental services provided by the Richmond, VA, Atlanta, GA, and Birmingham, AL., offices.
