ROCHESTER, N.Y.— Len DiSalvo, CFO of JML Optical Industries, LLC, has been selected a finalist for the Financial Executive of the Year.
The award is sponsored by Financial Executives International and the Rochester Business Journal. It recognizes Len’s contributions to the company, to the optical industry and to the Rochester community.
“Len has been at the heart of JML’s successful transition from a sole proprietorship to a growth company with private equity and broader management ownership,” said Bob Bicksler, JML CEO and President. “Also, under Len’s leadership and direct involvement, our customers will soon benefit from a new, state-of-the-art ERP system that is now being implemented.”
In addition to finance and accounting, Len is also responsible for the Human Resources and IT functions at JML Optical.Len’s contributions to the optical and local communities currently include serving as a board member at the Rochester Technology & Manufacturing Association and as a member of the Nazareth College financial advisory council.
Prior to joining JML in 2011, Len held the positions of CFO and Vice President of Finance for Harbinger Group, Inc. formerly Zapata Corporation, a publicly traded holding company. Len successfully managed acquisition and divestiture activities, served on the board of directors of its publicly traded majority owned subsidiaries and directed the creation and eventual spin off of an internet subsidiary. Len also held previous financial positions at Constellation Brands and Bausch + Lomb, Inc.
