LONDON, UK — Accutek Testing Laboratory has rebranded under the Element Materials Technology name. The newly-named Element Cincinnati will incorporate three existing sites to become one of the largest independent materials testing and product qualification testing service laboratories in the U.S., providing industry-leading capacity to serve its Aerospace Primes and Medical Device sector clients.
"Our first laboratory in the Cincinnati area joined Element's global platform as recently as 2012," Rick Sluiters, Element’s executive vice president of aerospace said. "Since then, we have created a Cincinnati-based business that generates a multimillion-dollar annual turnover. Element’s continued activity in Cincinnati demonstrates the seamless integration of Accutek without disruption to business continuity, which truly exemplifies the success of our buy-and-build strategy in helping us to deliver on our ambitious, sustainable growth targets.”
The 54,000 square foot former Accutek site was acquired by Element in 2014 to become the company’s 11th Nadcap-accredited facility, based on its dynamic testing of both metallic and non-metallic advanced materials. The laboratory is known for its ability to provide innovative, customized testing set-ups and possesses one of the widest ranges of accredited Medical Device tests in the world.
Element Cincinnati is now fully integrated into the company’s global platform, encompassing quality systems, health and safety and technical and commercial sharing.
The official rebranding of the facility took place March 1, 2015 and the site’s further expansion is expected to be completed later in the year.
