HEATH, OH — United States Air Force Master Sgt. Charles E. Holman was selected by the Inspection Division of the American Society for Quality as the recipient of its Inspector of the Year Award. The Inspection Division will publicly acknowledge Holman’s accomplishment May 4 at its annual General Membership Meeting in Nashville, Tenn., in conjunction with ASQ’s World Conference on Quality and Improvement.
Holman is an active duty United States Air Force serving as an USAF Metrology Laboratory Lead Evaluator, Laboratory Certification Branch, USAF Metrology and Calibration Division, Agile Combat Support Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, located in Heath, Ohio. He joined the Air Force in 1997 and has held positions as precision measurement equipment laboratory calibration technician, PMEL tactical air navigation calibration work area supervisor, PMEL microwave frequency calibration work area supervisor, compatible development systems analyst non-commissioned officer in charge, PMEL electronics section calibration work area supervisor and PMEL quality program manager.
Holman has continuously led from the front and was repeatedly lauded by Air Force senior leaders as "exceptionally bright,” "a visionary" and "a charismatic leader, mentor, and speaker." As a calibration technician, Holman separated himself from the pack becoming certified in various calibration measurement area disciplines to include microwave frequency, DC/low frequency, resistance, phase noise, capacitance, linear, temperature, pressure, angular, optics, hi-voltage, RF power, attenuation, mass, force and torque.
Holman has a long history of superior performance as a leader, manager, and calibration technician. Below is a list of his most recent awards:

• Agile Combat Support Outstanding Senior Non-Commissioned Officer: Third Quarter 2013 and Fourth Quarter 2012

• 57 Maintenance Squadron Outstanding Non-commissioned Officer of the Year, 2011
• 57 Maintenance Squadron Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, Squadron winner, 2009 and 2010
Holman and his wife, Oxana, enjoy spending time with their son Edward. When he finds time, Holman enjoys playing softball, soccer and the occasional 5K run. He and his family moved to Ohio from the Las Vegas area.
