WESTLAKE, OH — Q-Lab, a provider of accelerated weathering equipment and outdoor exposure test services, announced that Sean Fowler was appointed as vice-chairman of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group of TC156 for ISO. This group focuses on the corrosion of metals and alloys.
Some of the important corrosion standards covered by this committee are: ISO 9227 (corrosion tests in artificial atmospheres – salt spray tests) and ISO 16701 (accelerated corrosion in an alternating conditions of controlled humidity and salt spray), just to name a few.
Sean has worked with ISO, ASTM, and other standards committees for many years. He is currently a technical marketing specialist at Q-Lab where he helps customers utilize weathering and corrosion testing technology to solve their product durability concerns. Sean was also instrumental in the development of Q-Lab’s new Q-FOG CRH corrosion chamber, which represents a true breakthrough in price-performance for corrosion testers requiring RH control.
