NEUBEUERN, GERMANY — Steinbichler Optotechnik GmbH has changed its name to Carl Zeiss Optotechnik GmbH following its acquisition by Zeiss.

The new subsidiary of Zeiss Industrial Metrology, having recently commenced operation under the name Carl Zeiss Optotechnik GmbH, will soon cover the entire development and quality-control process, from the CAD model to high-precision inspection of pressed panels and body shells. Through the joint use of established infrastructures and a wide range of perfectly complementary production portfolios, for instance, this arrangement bodes well, not just for the company. The unique synergy effects will naturally also be of considerable benefit to customers, who can now obtain high-precision metrology, innovative sensor technology and cutting-edge software products from a single source.

Employees at the Neubeuern site will operate under the direction of Markus Esser and Dr. Marcus Steinbichlerare.
