Automated Inspection of Flat Panel Displays as Correlated to Human Vision
Human perception is the ultimate standard for assessing display quality; however human judgment is variable, making it difficult to define and apply quantitatively in research or production environments. Traditional automated inspection methods do not match human perception. Accurately correlating human perceptions of defects with information gathered using imaging colorimeters offers objective defect detection and quantification.
