CHICAGO — Sierra Monitor Corporation, a provider of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions that connect and protect high-value infrastructure assets, invites Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) designing and developing equipment for industrial and factory applications to attend the special IIoT University session presented by Varun Nagaraj, CEO of Sierra Monitor Corporation at the Sensors Expo Midwest event – Chicago, Illinois, Sept, 27 and 28.
Nagaraj’s session at 3:45 p.m. Sept. 28 will provide a simple, four-step approach that designers and engineers of industrial and commercial products can use to transform their products into true IIoT products. These four steps comprehensively address key IIoT requirements such as connectivity, protocol translation, local management system connectivity, cloud connectivity and registration, security, remote geo-spatial access, data logging and trending locally and in the cloud, alarm and event notifications, and integration with higher-level business applications.
In addition, Mr. Nagaraj will share early results of SMC’s IIoT connectivity pilot program which examines the benefits of “always on connectivity” for 20 top industrial OEMs and their industrial products and technologies.
On the Sensors Expo exhibition floor, SMC will demonstrate its market leading FieldServer IIoT gateways working with the recently introduced FieldPoP device cloud. Attendees will be able to understand how field devices can seamlessly and securely register themselves to the cloud and make their local applications and critical data points available to remote users and applications.
