Founded in the 1990s by Dr. Oliver Vietze, who was at that time pioneering CMOS image sensor research under his aegis the former locally-acting company. Vietze grew the unit from an initial team of 35 employees to the present 147-person Vision Competence Center of the Baumer Group and a global player in the field of industrial image processing.
