AUBURN HILLS, MI — Destaco was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Workholding & Automation Equipment Suppliers Award in the automotive industry.

The award was presented at the recent Global Automotive Industry 4.0 Summit 2018, which took place on June 7-8 in Shanghai, China. The award recognizes the performance, reputation and quality of Destaco’s workholding and automation solutions in the automotive industry. Destaco earned the award after a review by an expert committee that weighed its capabilities against those of the other entrants.

“Our associates around the world continually strive to influence the development of the manufacturing sector by advancing our customers’ automation capabilities,” said Byron J. Paul, president of Destaco. “We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition of our efforts.”

Specifically, Destaco was recognized for its ability to help manufacturers improve precision and productivity.  Destaco offers workholding and automation product lines across the globe – including end effectors, grippers, indexers, manual and power clamps, and remote handling.

Destaco’s operations in China includes an office in Shanghai’s Xuhui District and a manufacturing facility in Suzhou. The activity at the Suzhou facility involves the manufacture and assembly of Destaco’s power clamp and end effector products. The ability to offer localized availability of these products enables Destaco to optimize delivery times for its partners in the region.
