The National Association of Manufacturers will kick off its 2024 Competing to Win Tour on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, traveling to three states and visiting eight manufacturing facilities to elevate the voices of modern manufacturers in this pivotal election year.
On the first day of the tour, NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons will be joined by NAM Board Chair and Johnson & Johnson Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Operations & Risk Officer Kathy Wengel to help shine a spotlight on manufacturers fueling the U.S. economy and driving innovation.
On the second day of the tour, Timmons will deliver the 2024 NAM State of Manufacturing Address where he will provide the industry’s assessment of manufacturing in the United States, as candidates from all sides work to claim the manufacturing vote in the 2024 election. Timmons will also highlight the challenges facing manufacturers in America and the urgent need to enact a competitiveness agenda on issues including tax, trade, immigration, energy, regulatory reform and more.
For more than a decade, the annual NAM State of Manufacturing Address has focused the nation’s attention on the industry that is the backbone of the American economy, highlighting the 13 million men and women who are building our future.
The NAM has traveled the country frequently, bringing policy discussions and conversations about the future of work to shop floors, schools, innovation hubs, economic clubs, television studios, the White House and more.
