The L.S. Starrett Co. will be demonstrating the latest in quality control inspection technology at IMTS Booth #134130 located in the Quality Assurance Pavilion, East Hall in McCormick Place, Chicago IL from Sept 9-14, 2024. Supporting Industry 4.0, IoT and the Digital Factory, attendees can see a unique, all-new touch screen wireless digital indicator that is highly accurate, fast, intuitive, easy-to-use and rugged, and demonstrations of automated wireless measurement data capture and transmission from other handheld wireless/ electronic gages via DataSure® 4.0 Wireless Data Collection System, or from Vision Systems and Optical Comparators via integrated software.

Among the wide range of Starrett solutions to be highlighted at the show will be the latest Multi-Sensor Vision Systems, Video Based Inspection and Measurement Systems and Optical Comparators, DataSure® 4.0 which substantially increases the accuracy and speed of data collection, and the innovative No. W4900 Wireless Digital Indicator, a precision digital measurement gage featuring touchscreen technology. Special custom gage solutions and force testing systems, as well as precision granite solutions, gage blocks and more, will also be showcased. The vast majority of products to be featured in the booth are made in the U.S.A. with U.S. and globally sourced materials, a commitment that Starrett has continually held to throughout its history.

"Supporting smart manufacturing and connectivity, we are excited to demonstrate at IMTS the very latest solutions in wireless measurement data collection and transmission, in addition to our wide breadth of leading metrology solutions," said David Allen, Vice President, The L.S. Starrett Co.

Among a full range of products and solutions that Starrett will feature at the show is the new AVR400 Multi-Sensor Vision System featuring a choice of optics as well as touch probe options. The system is ideal for repetitive measurements and automatic comparison to CAD files. A Horizontal Digital Video Comparator combining vision and optical comparator technology will also be demonstrated, featuring a patented interchangeable lens mounting system coupled to a high-resolution 5 mega-pixel digital video camera. In addition, digital overlays in the system are developed directly from DXF CAD files. The industry leader in rugged, accurate and reliable optical comparators, Starrett will also showcase its HD400 Benchtop Comparator with a MetLogix Mx200 Digital Readout (DRO) which combines an intuitive user experience with current touchscreen conventions and functionality.

Starrett will also demonstrate its Force Testing Systems, highlighting a flexible, customizable architecture that enables the range of Starrett force and material testing software programs to be compatible with its different test frames.

Starrett will be displaying a broad range of wireless, electronic, and mechanical precision measuring tools, and will be debuting its innovative, all-new, W4900 Wireless Digital Indicator utilizing touchscreen technology, that redefines comparative indicating measurement. It is an intuitive, fast, easy-to-use gage. The latest Electronic and Wireless Micrometers, Bore Gages, Calipers and Height Gages will also be demonstrated, supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives via DataSure® wireless data acquisition.

Rounding out the Starrett range of measuring solutions at Booth #134130 will be Starrett Tru-Stone engineered granite metrology bases featuring the Superior Red air bearing/ solid machine foundation base, gage blocks, surface roughness testers and special gaging capabilities. Attendees are invited to bring their gaging and metrology challenges to the booth where Starrett engineers can provide technical support and guidance on pursuing customized solutions when conventional solutions will not suffice.

In addition to its show presence, Starrett will be making a presentation at the IMTS Conference Sessions on “How Vison Measuring and Inspection Ensures Maximum Quality Control: An Overview of Technology Options”. The presentation by Greg Maisch, Engineering Manager, Starrett Metrology Division, will be on Tuesday, September 10th at 2:15 p.m. – 3:10 p.m. in Room W192-C,  West Hall at McCormick Place.
