Expectations don't magically change reality. Expectations, however, do something even more powerful--they change the way we deal with reality.

Self-talk has the power to build up or erode your self-image and determine what kind of relationships you have with other people.

If we never dare to fail, our successes will have a low ceiling, and low reward.

People who are committed to success are willing to do whatever it takes, as long as it doesn't harm anyone else.

Every moment is a choice. And every moment you can choose to orient your life in a positive direction.

This blog is a second in a series which steps through various aspects of the Lean Six Sigma Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) roadmap for process improvement. 

When we set a goal and therefore create that gap we wrote about last week, energy and creativity are unleashed in our minds. 

 As humans , we move toward the strongest picture and our natural tendency is to maintain our current picture of who we are.  We change that perspective, but in order to do so, we need to make that future picture (or goal) stronger and more attractive than staying in our comfort zone or the present.  

 There is no failure, no disappointment, no mistake in our past that can stop us from taking a positive step forward right now.
