The MX Series’ 16:16M and 16:64M manual phased array inspection modules are entry-level flaw detectors that use real-time phased array imaging, combine phased array and conventional UT, and feature a simple, operator-friendly interface. The new modules provide the same advantages of phased array imaging, while keeping the benefits of a proven product.
The SmartScope Flash 625 dimensional measurement system is a small-footprint floor stand system featuring a 500- by 610- by 200-millimeter XYZ measurement volume, with the added flexibility of a 300-millimeter extended Z-axis option. Additionally, the system can be equipped with a through-the-lens (TTL) laser, adding noncontact surface contouring to its touch probe, video and micro-probe measuring capability. The system also is configurable with sensors for almost any application. The system’s optical assembly moves in the X-axis across an angled steel crossbeam while the part moves in the Y-axis on a precision servo-driven stage. Both axes use high-resolution scales for positional feedback. A metrologically stable granite platform ensures proper damping and structural integrity. And integral system electronics minimize the system’s footprint while maximizing stage travel.
A complete line of replacement contracers and surface testers is available. The replacement parts for popular indicators- including Mitutoyo, Renishaw, Zeiss and Mahr–--are in stock and available for immediate shipment. In addition, custom-manufactured surface testers and contact points are available. Also, the repair of existing equipment also is offered.
Metrotom is a computed tomography system for industrial applications such as R&D, production and quality. The system can see inside parts and quantify characteristics normally inaccessible to probing or optical sensors. The same dataset can be used to inspect the structure of material (porosity/wall thickness), measure external features and generate fully surfaced or solid CAD models. X-rays penetrate an object and display it on a suitable detector. The details of the object appear as a 2-D image in varying intensity depending on the geometry and absorption properties. The 3-D image is created by rotating the object 360 degrees along its axis on a rotary table and then converting this data to a 3-D volume model.
GAGEtrak calibration management software manages the forecasting the workload, reduces costs and provides compliance with equipment calibration standards.
The Minuteman ELT Series of semi- and fully automatic systems for Knoop, Vickers and Rockwell hardness testing is available in four different versions. The entry level ELT1, the intermediate ELT2 and the fully automatic ELT3 are options for the Tukon microindentation testers, while the ELT4 version is for Rockwell and MicroRockwell testers. When used on a microindentation tester, the Minuteman ELT series is an upgradeable system that allows the operator to start with a low-cost basic system and progress to a fully automatic version as their needs and budget change. All of the Minuteman ELT systems feature complete computer control of the tester for hands-off operations.
The ProgRes CT3 is a digital microscope camera with CMOS Sensor technology. The unit provides resolution of up to 3 megapixels and a subtle color differentiation. The integrated CMOS sensor is resistant against blooming and shows superior performance in imaging highlights. The fast live image, available in several resolutions, meets the requirements of professionals and fits easily into any laboratory. Configured with standard interfaces such as C-Mount and IEEE1394 Firewire, the unit easily connects to any microscope and computer. The unit includes ProgRes CapturePro image acquisition software designed for intuitive handling. The unit is dedicated to brightfield and reflective light microscopy, but also is suitable for many other contrast methods.
Renscan5 software and the REVO measuring head compose a system for ultra-high-speed scanning in coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection of critical and complex parts. The system combines a dynamic, infinite positioning measurement head with 5-axis machine control and a laser-corrected probe to measure at speeds up to 500 millimeters per second. (vs. conventional CMM scanning at 5 to 15 millimeters per second). Renscan5 helps eliminate the measurement errors normally associated with three-axis scanning systems. The five-axis system achieves this by allowing the REVO measuring head to perform most of the motion during inspection routines.
The latest version of CAD-based inspection software PowerINSPECT includes support for multi-axis on-machine verification, improved ease of use and compatibility with the AIMS Metrology system. The new compatibility with AIMS will allow seamless sharing of CAD geometry, inspection plans and measurement results between PowerINSPECT and other hardware and software platforms. The multi-axis option for on-machine verification will allow companies with four-, five- or six-axis equipment to undertake comprehensive verification of their parts on complex machine tools both during and after machining. The main advantage of the new option will be the ability to check undercut regions without any need to reposition the work piece.
