Linda Beene has been in the aerospace industry since 1975. She is presently a staff engineer at PRI for nondestructive testing. She was previously a PRI consultant auditor since 2006, and a consultant audit reviewer for PRI since 2015. She has also worked as a consultant with PRI Training since 2012. Prior to PRI she spent over 20 years with a leading aerospace company specializing in solid and liquid propulsion systems as NDT/quality management, senior quality engineer/NDT engineering department lead/manager, and responsible Level 3. She held ASNT and/or NAS-410 certifications in PT, MT, UT, RT. ET, CT, DDA, and N-Ray. Prior to this she spent 10 years in the US Air Force as an NDT Instructor, Shop Chief, etc. and worked on various aircraft with her Air Force assignments.
In aerospace as in many other industries, nondestructive testing (NDT) is the final quality assessment, the final check of a part before it enters into service. Without a quality process and excellent technicians working diligently with a lot of integrity, the parts may just not be of the highest quality and fit for the job.
